Needs Only

Are you up for a challenge? Are you feeling like you spent a bit too much in the holiday season? Maybe you feel like you house is getting overrun with stuff?
Here is my challenge - For the 31 days of January I am going to buy only what I need. That includes my grocery list, my little treats both sweet and other when I am out. I am going to look at ways to use things that I have around the house instead of buying something else that fills my house.
Do you want to join me in this challenge? Each of us personally will determine what are needs only.
I read about this in a magazine and have heard others that have done it as well. The people in the magazine managed to save between $300 and $1000. I know some of that might be just delaying purchases but some of it is probably a true savings. Even if you husband doesn't join this I am guessing that we will see a savings.
Would you like to join me in this challenge? I would love to hear what you are saving, using, and avoiding. If so, please let me know. You have a week or so to think about this. Yes, a week to stock up on all the wants that you might have.
Even if you don't feel that you are able to join the challenge at this time, come visit my blog for updates on how I am doing.

A new blog for me

This is a new blog and a place to record my organizing, planning, and managing my household. Since we moved in September I have to plan meals and food a bit more. The grocery store is not a 5 minute walk from our house. It is a 20 minute walk there and 30 minutes to come home.

My goals are to post my weekly menu here.
Record some of the organizing accomplishments. There are 3 people living in a 700 sq foot apartment which has 3 bedrooms one of which is my husband's office with a few boxes in there as well.
Share my accomplishments in various projects that I am working on.
